Source code for the Flash Demo available.

Posted 7-6-08

The Flash Demo of 'Zombie Defense' has not turned out to be a great demonstration of the actual game due to its brevity. Because of this a Full Version Demo has been made available to the public Full Version Demo. In order to make sure the Flash Demo does not go to waste, and to help others interested in learning Flash we are making the source code available to all. For information about obtaining the source code, or asking questions about how the source code works please stop by the forums Rival Games Forum.

Zombie Defense to go gold.

Posted 4-08-08

We here at Rival Games have decided to market and sell our game "Zombie Defense". Because of this no more beta versions will be available to the public. A flash version of the game is currently being worked on and should be available in a few weeks. If anyone has any questions the forums are always open and like usual we promise to be very responsible.

A big thanks goes out to all of the people who have helped shape the game. Anyone that has a current version of our game is welcome to keep playing it, we will continue to maintain the high score lists for now.

Because of the changing level names the old high scores will no longer be valid. There will be a 1 time transfer of the old high scores to the new lists some time after Midnight tonight. Any scores obtained after this time ( Midnight tonight ) with any previous versions of the game will no longer be valid.

News for the release of version 1.7

Posted 3-04-08
Weekly releases will no longer be made, we will instead be releasing new versions of the game when something significant has been added. The main goal for version 1.7 has been to recreate all of the tutorials. Instead of 3 tutorials there will be 9 smaller ones. The goal is to make the tutorials easier to follow while providing deeper insight into the game. Although there is no release for this week, we hope to have version 1.7 out in under 2 weeks. Secondary goals for the next release are to include updated graphics. So far the Molotov Cocktail, Incendiary Grenade, and Flame Thrower have been completely re-drawn.
